The iPhone 5 still has to launch in Brazil, but one thing is for sure: when it hits the shelves, it will be much more expensive than in other markets. If you need a proof of it, just look at the new Apple TV, which costs R$399 in Brazil - roughly $197 USD, or twice its selling price in the US.

This isn’t only about Apple products; we have already touched the subject several times, many articles are much more expensive in Brazil, especially electronics. Let’s now try to understand why.

Brazil's Purgatory About to Begin

Someone sent me a message with the text below. It’s neither about ColdFusion, nor about jobs, but it talks about politics in Brazil. The message said that it was published in Canada.

I found that so true and interesting that I could not refrain me from posting it. Although I’m out of Brazil for 20 years, I still consider myself a patriot Brazilian and I’m sad with the current situation in there which the outside public does not have any idea on what it is happening.
