As a ColdFusion Web Developer at Redmon Group you can expect to find yourself working simultaneously for multiple project managers on a variety of projects.  Your specific tasks will depend both on your skill set and the needs of the projects but will include designing and building Web pages and Web applications, maintaining and improving Web sites, performing user acceptance testing, and more.  You will follow specifications laid out in design documents, scripts, storyboards, and/or graphic treatments and will work closely with others including Project Managers, Instructional Designers, Multimedia Developers, and other Programmers.

Requirements:

A Web Developer must be competent (able to independently employ the principal features of applications or skills to produce a professional-level output) in the following areas:

  • ColdFusion (preferably version 8 or higher)
  • SQL Database Query Development
  • E-Commerce
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
  • Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
  • Task Estimation
  • Client Communications
  • At minimum of 4 years practical experience in web development (a 4-year degree is considered equivalent to 2 years of experience)

Skills considered a “plus” include:

  • E-Commerce Experience
  • Content Management Systems Experience
  • Google Maps or GIS Integration
  • Experience in one or more of: PHP, .NET, C#, C++, XML, Python, Perl, Linux/Unix-specific knowledge
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • Apache web server administration
  • SQL database administration
  • Object-Oriented Programming Experience
  • Knowledge of W3C accessibility standards and Section 508
  • Skills with media development tools (Photoshop, Fireworks, 3d Studio, Final Cut, Illustrator, etc.)
