We are urgently looking for a passionate Web Applications Developer, to join a leading software house based in Oxfordshire. As a leading application provider, they operate on a global scale and are building upon their very solid foundation and are now looking to expand their current development team. Reporting directly to the Head of Development, the successful ColdFusion developer will primarily be working alongside business analysts and testers implementing brown field coding projects on web based applications both internally and on customer led projects. You will be required to visit customer sites so the ability to communicate complex technical scenarios to those from a non-technical background is essential. Any experience gained in Coldfusion 8 and/or MX 7 will be distinctly beneficial. You will be responsible for developing custom tags and CFC’s and also will be required to liaise with clients and non technical counterparts, explaining often complex design topics, related to their requirements. You will be involved in influencing how the applications develops and evolves.

To be considered for this ColdFusion Development role, you will need:

to be educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline
Very strong ColdFusion experience having worked with both structures and CFCs
to have ideally worked with ColdFusion plus and coldfusion MX7
to be able to write complex JavaScript in order to validate and navigate as well as the user interface on their product
to be highly proficient in HTML for user interface processing
prior experience in Transact SQL or TSQL as their applications are data driven.
exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Alongside this, any experience gained in AJAX, Java and XML (interrogation and manipulation) will be highly beneficial, although is not strictly necessary.
