The ColdFusion Web Developer is a flexible, detail-oriented Web professional who will support the SEI’s web initiatives. The SEI leverages a database-driven content management system as the primary vehicle for delivering web content; the ColdFusion Web Developer must be able to support existing functionality in addition to creating new websites and functionality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, design or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Three or more years of demonstrated experience developing web sites using Adobe ColdFusion 7 or 8;
- Proficient in SQL, HTML and CSS;
- Demonstrated expertise with various web technologies, including JavaScript, AJAX, XML, and Web 2.0;
- Experience working with content management systems and template development desired;
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of technical projects with a variety of technical staff a must;
- This person is an experienced ColdFusion Web developer who can work both independently and as part of a web team. An innovator, he or she is interested in learning new technologies and applying that knowledge to websites for the communication of technical information;
- Experience with information design, user testing, and e-commerce would be helpful; possess a good working knowledge of Web standards and CSS, to include but not limited to, web design without the use of HTML tables and solving page rendering issues related to browser differences;

- Close contact with CRT for prolonged periods of time;
- Ability to meet deadlines and function successfully in a stressful environment;
- Ability to react quickly to unexpected customer needs and to prioritize multiple work assignments;
- Ability to concentrate on details to ensure quality;
- Ability to be assertive to ensure quality communication;
- Good written and oral communication skills;
May require occasional travel; - Evening/weekend hours may be required in order to meet production deadlines or to handle maintenance windows outside normal business hours on an infrequent basis;
- Candidate must pass a background investigation, be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a US DOD Secret clearance
