Our DC-based web development company is looking for a highly experienced ColdFusion developer. We have ongoing ColdFusion development and would like to build a lasting relationship with a talented individual who can help us keep up with the growing demand for our services. Although we’re based in DC we are completely decentralized (i.e. we all work from home) so this would be a 100% telecommuting job.

Other Requirements and Information:

  • Must be generally available by phone or Instant Messaging during our regular business hours (9am – 5pm EST). I.e., we are very flexible about when you get your work done (and sensitive to people in other time zones), but email is not going to be the only form of communication.

Assistant Manager of Database and Web Service

The American Anthropological Association a national non-profit organization located in the DC-metro area seeks to hire an Assistant Manager of Database and Web Services.

This position will work with the department manager to provide assistance to and support for the organization’s database and web activities. Duties include serving as a technical support to staff and members and provide training as needed, providing web site and database support to staff and volunteer, acting as backup to the Database and Web Services Manager, and administration of listserv resource for staff, leadership and sections.

This position requires at least 3 years experience preferably for a membership association with knowledge of association management and abstracts management systems.  Proficiency in content management systems. Must have strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, ColdFusion, CSS, and SQL. Bachelor’s Degree and/or advanced degree in a related area and/or web development, database administration, content management or other preferred web-related certification, and at least 5 years of experience in web development, database administration and/or and content management preferred.   Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical associates.  Candidate should posses a clear understanding of project management, database management, online marketing, web development processes and usability guidelines.  Ability to think strategically, multi-task, and create collaboration among internal and external groups.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior ColdFusion Web Applications Developer supporting the development of enterprise Web enabled IT applications, using various technologies to support the client’s mission and goals.  This opportunity requires hands on Web application development throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).  In this position, you will provide leadership, direction, and best practices in the full lifecycle of systems development to include analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.  Must have the experience in acting  as a role model of the firm’s core values, and maintain and expand client relationships throughout  the delivery of high quality work.

Qualifications

• 10-15  years of web applications development experience, at least 6 years as a developer utilizing ColdFusion MX 7,8, or 9.
