TDD com ColdFusion – Parte 1 (Instalação do MXUnit)

Salve pessoal.

Why MXUnit?
At its core, MXUnit grew around the concept of making things easier for the person writing the tests. We believe people shy away from unit testing because the perception (sometimes justified!) is that it’s too inconvenient. We sought to change that.

Instalação do Framework:

1 ) Baixe a última versão do MXUnit => (https://github.com/downloads/mxunit/mxunit/mxunit-2.1.1.zip);

2) Descompacte o conteúdo dentro do webroot (“domínio/mxunit”);

3) Teste a instalação no http://<seu_servidor>/mxunit/index.cfm. Deve aparecer uma tela semelhante à abaixo:

MXUnit Installl Screen

Instalação do Plugin para Eclipse:

1) Com o Eclipse aberto, clique no menu “Help > Install New Software”;

2) Clique em Add e depois insira o Nome e Location respectivamente: mxUnit e http://mxunit.org/update (conforme imagem abaixo):

Eclipse Plugin

3) Feito isso clique em “OK” e siga o trivial “NNF” (next -> next -> finish);

Nos próximos posts pretendo explorar a parte de codificação.

Até a próxima.

ColdFusion MeetUp: Setting up ColdFusion Builder Step Debugging with Charlie Arehart

Announcing a new Meetup for The Online ColdFusion Meetup!

What: “Setting up ColdFusion Builder Step Debugging”, Charlie Arehart

When: Thursday, April 15, 2010 6:00 PM

Our 6pm (US ET) talk on Thursday Apr 15 will be “Setting up ColdFusion Builder Step Debugging”, Charlie Arehart.

TOPIC DESCRIPTION: (provided by the speaker)

Some may know that ColdFusion Builder offers interactive step debugging, allowing you to step through code line by line as it runs, but a lot of people struggle to get it to work.

In this talk, veteran CF troubleshooter Charlie Arehart will help explain and resolve the common pitfalls in using the step debugger. We won’t focus on using the tool (he’s spoken on that before), but instead we will focus solely on getting your CF server and CFBuilder setup properly for being able to do step debugging.

This involves a combination of proper settings on the server (RDS, Admin, web server, firewall, and other settings) as well as in CFBuilder itself (RDS, Eclipse preferences, projects, perspectives, etc.), and also understanding factors regarding where the code and the server are relative to where the debugger/Builder is.

Again, step debugging is not really new: it was available in the older Adobe ColdFusion 8 Extensions for Eclipse, as well as with FusionDebug, and for the most part, the interface for using the tool is no different. Charlie has talked about using the debugger before on the CFMeetup: http://www.carehart.org/presentations/#cf8debug. While he may reprise and update that as a follow-in for this talk, those who want to see *how* to use the debugger can check out that presentation before or after this talk.

MEETING URL: http://experts.acrobat.com/cfmeetup/
DURATION: Approx. 1 hour
Meeting will be recorded. URL will be posted after meeting athttp://recordings.coldfusionmeetup.com
