The developer would be responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting of ColdFusion Web applications in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. They would participate in the application technical design process and completes estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. The Developer also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards.

Current tools and technologies include:
ColdFusion 8, SQL 2005, Fusebox, CFCs, WebSphere, PERL, Eclipse, Ant, Maven, CFC Unit

All candidates should be familiar with HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, CSS, JMS, UML and have some database experience with SQLServer and/or DB2

We are looking for a degree educated Senior Linux Administrator, to head up our enthusiastic, fast moving and expanding development team. You should have 3yrs full-time experience performing system administration within a web production environment (we have over 200 web sites, including blogs).
In depth experience of Redhat, Apache web server, VMWare, HP hardware, ColdFusion, Tomcat, WebSphere.
Some Microsoft Windows administration experience including IIS, ASP, SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
Experience of Perl and Python would be advantageous.

Your role will cover:

  • availability, security and performance of the development and testing environment used by the development team
