A technology services government contractor seeks a ColdFusion/Web Developer. This will be an offsite position. This position will be part of a team responsible for the development of multiple software products. Qualifications include:

possess information systems or computer sciences degree or related work experience of at least 5 to 7 years
industry experience developing web applications at least 2 years
hands-on development using Coldfustion MX 7 and higher at least 2 years
hands-on experience with Fusebox or Mach, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, XHTML, XSLT, CSS, Ajax, DreamWeaver experience with Oracle Portal/WebCenter
strong plus ExtJS
strong plus Java/J2EE web development experience
strong plus skills must include design, coding, and testing experience with full software development lifecycle

Location:Offsite
Compensation: $50k – $65k a year.

The ColdFusion developer is responsible for the design and implementation of solutions to satisfy business requirements and systems requirements such as scalability, re-usability, maintainability, and supportability. Develops specifications for highly complex software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software. Develops, modifies and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools (DW, Eclipse, etc.)
Maintains and modifies existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior staff members.
Performs maintenance programming for existing version. Performs custom programming at customer request
Assumes responsibility for ongoing data architecture for product
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of CF8 including new AJAX and query functionality.
Strong knowledge of HTML/JS/DHTML/CSS/AJAX.
Strong knowledge of the CF8 application server and the marriage with IIS5-7.

Strong SQL skills.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members.
Ability to interface well with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organization.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
Knowledge relating to the area in which analysis and coding is performed.

Qualification/Requirements: Experience with the following:

Minimum five (5) years experience with CF7-8.
Minimum three (3) years experience as Database Developer (NOT Administrator) working with SQL 2000/2005 (experience with equivalent products may be considered).
Minimum five (5) years with dynamic scripting languages.
Minimum five (5) years with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, AJAX and DHTML preferred.
Some experience with OOP preferred.

Preferred skills:

Flex 3 builder and production.
EXTJS
CF Reporting
COM and .NET object instantiation/integration.

This position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to focus on delivering high-quality results on schedule. A good attitude is important, along with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Code samples and aptitude test will be required.
