Specific Impulse Inc., a leading information architecture and web development firm, seeks contract ColdFusion developers to collaborate with our development team on large-scale portal projects.

We seek an experienced, customer-focused person with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently. AJAX and hand-coded HTML, Javascript and SQL experience required. Other web-related development skills such as database design, user interface design, ultra-thin-client mobile, and other programming experience (PHP/MySQL) are a plus.

Contract work involves coding web-based interfaces and back-end systems for portals, extranets, content management systems, and web applications. You would work primarily in our StageOne Portal Builder development environment for ColdFusion.

This is not a typical one-off contract position. StageOne is an Enterprise Information Architecture platform that supports the Extremely Data-Driven Information Engineering (EDDIE) methodology, in an Agile environment. This means that we will invest some time in training you to use EDDIE techniques and EIA tools, and naturally we hope to develop a long-term relationship.
