Job Description:

Sr. Software Engineer needed to support an enterprise portal running on SQL server 2008 and built with a Java framework. Approximately 80% of the development was done using ColdFusion 8. Will work as part of a team supporting the full software development lifecycle. Using functional specifications and designs developed by themselves, will produce all or part of the systems.

• Maintains databases and system code
• Responsible for installation and modification of package programs.
  
• Writes custom web applications to facilitate business processes .
  
• Delegates work to junior level IT staff.
  
• Coordinates activities with other IT groups, partners, vendors, customers and IT colleagues.
• Typically negotiates with vendors and customers.

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server version 2005 or higher, Cold Fusion version 8 or higher, JavaScript, and database schema development.
• Bachelors degree required, preferably in a computer related field.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience preferably in web application development / software engineering utilizing database backend. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
