Key Duties / Responsibilities

* Lead the Needs Analysis phase of a project creating fully documented functional and technical specifications
* Converses with the technical project stake holders including the client’s team and third party vendors where appropriate.
* Responsible for conducting, leading and coordinating software development activities throughout the project, including enforcing Pixl8
technical production standards.
* Provide technical leadership for web development projects, including enterprise application projects.
* Coordinate technical aspects of projects and ensure all technical information has been provided to the production team prior to the
commencement of the project.
* Support the production team as the technical project authority.
* Lead the technical / development team through project development phases: analysis, development, implementation and deployment providing
technical advice and support to the development team during all phases of
the project.

Support the Project Manager to:

* Plan and oversee the development and delivery of specific development projects
* Identify the resource requirement to ensure the most suitable team members are assigned
* Establish project goals and provide regular feedback to all project team members.
* To ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
* Acts as a liaison for the technical team to the project leadership team and management.
* Act as a senior developer where required to support the project resources
* Attend project meetings and provide progress reports on the technical aspects of the project advising of any issues or concerns
* Communicate regularly with internal and external customers.
* Supervise staff.
* Performs related responsibilities as required.
* Be familiar with systems concepts design and standards. Provide technical expertise in terms of system architecture, coding methods,
functionality, performance, aesthetics, resilience, reuse and economic and
technological tradeoffs.
* Help shape the ongoing technical standards for the business.

Minimum Qualifications
A good degree in Computer science
or similar field.

Experience

* 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
* Proven technical leadership experience.
* Experience in staff management would be desirable.

Skills:

* Strong and diverse technical skills in Web development preferably ColdFusion but excellent .NET, JAVA or php skills are also relevant.
